Dark Void is a sci-fi action-adventure game that combines an
adrenaline-fueled blend of aerial and ground-pounding combat. Set in a
parallel universe called “The Void”, players take on the role of Will, a
pilot dropped into incredible circumstances within the mysterious Void. This
unlikely hero soon finds himself swept into a desperate struggle for
survival, joining forces with a rebel human group called The Survivors.
Trapped in the Void, these resistance fighters are battling to hold off a
mysterious alien race that plans to threaten Earth.

Dark Void’s unique combination of jet pack-booster aerial dog fighting and
third-person combat brings a thrilling new gameplay dynamic to the
third-person shooter experience. Taking 3D action to a whole new level, Dark
Void’s unique vertical combat system allows players to dangle from thousand
foot drops as they take cover and hurl enemies to their doom, bringing a
whole new sense of tension and thrill to the player. Will is also equipped
with a powerful rocket pack which allows for fierce in-air combat, hurtling
through the Void at blistering speeds while shooting down anything that gets
in his path.

Something is consuming our universe, a vast and ancient force almost beyond our comprehension. Millions of years ago, the minions of that power found their

way to the 3rd planet of an unremarkable yellow star. Ours. The race they created came to call their masters “The Watchers.” For millennia we knew them as

gods and served their dark purposes, but a few humans developed extraordinary powers. They were known as the Adepts and they rose up, banishing The Watchers

into a parallel universe, where they’ve manipulated and schemed from afar. Until now.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust sees the eponymous amorous hero spending his vacation working on his uncle’s film studio as he tries to make a name for himself in Tinseltown. However, while working on the movie lot, Larry stumbles upon a plot from another studio that threatens to air the studio’s dirty laundry in the tabloids – now it’s his job to save the day and the reputation of his uncle’s studio.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust will feature saucy comedy and bombshell babes as players tackle exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving challenges to complete missions. The series’ trademark humour is in full effect as Larry’s new adventure takes him through parodies of Hollywood’s most famous studio sets. Whether he’s sneaking around on the ‘Bytanic’ or gun-slinging on ‘Beefcake Mountain’, Larry’s always got an eye out for the ladies.

Section 8 is a large-scale, sci-fi first person shooter wherefast-paced action meets military strategy in the far reaches of the galaxy. Join the epic battle between the 8th Armored Infantry and the Arm of Orion by taking part in fierce squad-based combat across majestic alien worlds. Choose the experience you want to play by customizing your own equipment loadouts, and dynamically manipulate the flow of combat with on-demand vehicle requisitions, strategic asset deliveries, Dynamic Combat Missions, and the ability to drop anywhere on the battlefield from 15,000 feet above. On a completely player-driven and dynamic battlefield, no two games of Section 8 will ever play the same. Burn in to battle from 15,000 feet: see the battlefield open up below as you reach terminal velocity; hit the air brakes and choose where you land. Dynamic Combat Missions alter the flow of battle and remove all predictability. Use your wits to gain victory instead of just doing the same things over and over again. Call in ‘deployables’ such as powerful gun emplacements, tanks and walking war machines to secure your hard-won territory or again a strategic advantage as you advance on the enemy. Choose your weapons, armor and more; don’t be restrict’ed to a class such as ’scout’ or ‘medic’ Incredible graphics, powered by a heavily modified Unreal Engine 3, deliver huge, open battlefields. Full single-player campaign telling the story of trooper Alex Corde. Unrivalled multiplayer combat allowing for clan, team and individual stat tracking.

In the aftermath, Spencer and
his comrade Joseph “Super Joe” Gibson were praised as
heroes by the entire nation.

TASC, the military intelligence organization that provided
Spencer with his Bionic Arm, soon found their bionics
program in great demand. Now under the command of Joseph
Gibson, the organization flourished, and many other
operatives were enhanced with bionic parts.

As the original Bionic Commando, Nathan Spencer became
responsible for training these new operatives. At the same
time, Spencer began to undertake a series of high risk,
covert operations. On one such mission, codenamed
Operation Blackout (the events of which are detailed in
the comic book Chain of Command), Spencerand#314;s sense of
justice came into conflict with the orders from his
superior and friend Gibson.

In refusing to kill two rogue bionic prototypes, Spencer
disobeyed a direct order which ultimately led to the
deaths of several TASC agents. Spencer was court-
martialed, convicted of treason, and sentenced to death.

As Spencer rotted on death row, his conviction changed the
public’s view on bionic technology, and opinions on the
subject became divided. Pro- and anti-bionic factions
arose out of this dissension, and what started as a debate
over morals descended into civil unrest.

The issue came to a head when a Presidential directive was
issued to shut down the controversial bionics program. In
what came to be known as the “Bionic Purge”, TASC’s
bionics program was closed, and TASC personnel with bionic
augmentations were ordered to turn in their bionics or
have them forcibly removed. But this heavy-handed tactic
backfired, as pro-bionic followers rioted, and many of
TASC’s bionic operatives chose to flee instead of giving
up their artificial parts.

The chaos eventually subsided, and the bionic technology
was purged from the nation. Pro-bionic followers went
underground, and the nation once again knew peace. Until
today…

It was nominated for the Seumas McNally grand prize, Design Innovation Award and Technical Excellence at the Independent Games Festival. It was released for the Wii’s WiiWare in North America on 13 October 2008. On 11 November 2008, 2D Boy announced that World of Goo would be released as WiiWare in Europe in lieu of a retail release. During the 2009 D.I.C.E. Summit, Nintendo announced that it would publish World of Goo in Japan during the second quarter of 2009; the game was released on 21 April 2009 under the title Planet of Goo. On 24 March 2009, it was announced that World of Goo would be part of the MacHeist III bundle.

The game is built around the idea of creating large structures using balls of goo. It is based on the prototype game Tower of Goo developed for Kyle Gabler’s rapid game prototyping Experimental Gameplay Project. The game is divided into five chapters, each containing several levels. Each level has its own graphic and musical theme, giving it unique atmosphere, similar in style to Tim Burton’s film designs. There is also a bonus meta-game called World of Goo Corporation, where the objective is to build the highest tower using goo balls which the player collected through the course of the game. Players from all over the world can compete, as the height of the tower and number of goo balls used are being constantly uploaded to the 2D Boy server.

The main objective of the game is to get a requisite number of goo balls to a pipe representing the exit. In order to do so, the player must use the goo balls to construct bridges, towers, and other structures to overcome gravity and various terrain difficulties such as chasms, hills, spikes, or cliffs. There are several types of goo balls in the game, each of which has unique properties. The player must exploit combinations of these goo balls in order to complete each level. Extra goos recovered in the pipe are pumped through to the World of Goo Corporation, a sandbox area where the objective is to compete with other players worldwide by building the tallest tower possible. Players can also try to achieve the “Obsessive Completion Distinction (OCD) Flag” for each level by completing the level under more stringent criteria, such as collecting a larger number of Goo balls, finishing under a set amount of time or using as few moves as possible.

Levels and chapters in the game are interspersed with cut scenes.

The Wiiware version includes multiplayer with up to four people on the same Wii. This facility is also available, albeit unsupported, in the Linux port.

The overall World of Goo is split up into five chapters, each containing a number of levels. The chapters are set over the course of one year in the World of Goo. Each chapter takes place over one season, beginning in the start of summer, and ending at the end of spring the next year.

An additional ‘chapter’ selectable from the main menu is the World Of Goo Corporation. Goos collected above and beyond the required amount to pass a level are piped out of each of the played levels to here. Starting from just a single triangle of Goo, the aim is to build the highest possible tower. The Goos in the World Of Goo Corporation are unique in that they can be repositioned like Ivy Goos but are black and can only form two connections at once like Common Goos. In the World Of Goo Corporation, towers built by other players of the game are represented by clouds bearing the player’s name, nationality and height of the tower, including details on the total number of balls collected by the player and how many were used in constructing their tower. The altitude of each cloud represents the height of that player’s tower. An online leaderboard charts the heights of the top 50 towers, as well as the top 10 players for each level of the game.

There are a total of 48 levels in the game, including World of Goo Corporation.

In an interview the developers stated that the retail version released in Europe will receive an additional sixth chapter, set on the Moon. Few details were disclosed, but reportedly this chapter will feature a freeform sandbox mode, similar to that of the World of Goo Corporation. This addition was then canceled for Wii when 2D Boy announced they were releasing the game on WiiWare in Europe.
